Sumitomo Mitsui: The recent strengthening of the Japanese yen may be driven by demand for hedging.

According to CoinMeta, an analyst from Sumitomo Mitsui Bank, Hasegawa, pointed out in a report that the recent strength of the Japanese yen may be due to demand for safe-haven assets. He stated that fiscal concerns in France have significantly pushed up the Swiss franc, which has raised market vigilance regarding possible measures by the Swiss Central Bank to limit further appreciation of the franc. Hasegawa believes that this situation could prompt safe-haven funds to turn to the yen. However, he also emphasized that Japan's own fiscal and monetary factors are crucial to whether the yen can continue to rise.
