According to CoinMeta, there is a risk-aversion sentiment in the global credit market due to concerns about artificial intelligence (AI), with credit spreads rising to their highest level in 17 months. Affected by the selling of AI-related stocks and geopolitical tensions, investors have turned to safe-haven assets. On Friday, the spreads on US dollar bonds of high-rated Asian companies widened to their highest level since July last year, and the yield premiums on global corporate bonds soared to 129 basis points, marking the largest spread since May 2025. The market's growing concern over the speed at which companies are borrowing money for AI-related expenditures has caused market turmoil. Castle Securities CEO Griffin warned of a bubble, while Jon Gray, president of Blackstone Group, believes that market demand is showing "quasi-parabolic" growth.
