Bitcoin Core updates security policy to address vulnerabilities discovered in AI
2026-10-24 01:19:16
According to CoinMeta, Bitcoin core developers have updated their security policy to address the ability of AI to identify vulnerabilities in a single prompt. The policy update was merged on Thursday, and developer Antoine Poinsot pointed out that AI has made certain vulnerabilities extremely easy to detect, hence it no longer makes sense to keep them secret. The new policy will label some reported vulnerabilities as “easily discoverable” and will promptly release fix versions instead of delaying them. This move reflects how AI has profoundly changed the security landscape of Bitcoin.
