According to CoinMeta, Wall Street is opposing the tokenization of stocks involving OKX. So far, 22 companies have expressed their opposition, including Wells Fargo, ARM, and Intuit. According to reports from Reuters, the number of opposing companies has increased from 9 last week to 16 on Wednesday, and now totals 22. OKXICE originally planned to tokenize 63 American stocks, but due to applicable exemption clauses, the opposition from issuers will prevent its stocks from being listed on that platform. This wave of opposition highlights the growing conflict between traditional finance and the crypto sector over who controls access to the equity market as tokenization gradually becomes more mainstream.
