According to CoinMeta, Bloomberg has expanded on the crypto, exposure, and analytics functions to support institutions in identifying, classifying, and reporting exposures to crypto assets and tokenized real-world assets in accordance with the framework of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. This tool can identify direct and indirect crypto risks across funds, stocks, bonds, and derivatives. Bloomberg has identified approximately 1,700 funds that involve this framework, of which about half do not explicitly list their crypto exposures in their investment strategies. Relevant analysis can be obtained through Bloomberg Data License and Bloomberg terminals, and Morgan Stanley is utilizing it for fund penetration analysis and classification of exposures under the Basel framework.
