According to CoinMeta, on Sunday, the stock markets in Saudi Arabia and Egypt both saw declines. Previously, the coalition led by Saudi Arabia stated that amid intensified conflicts with the Houthi rebels in Yemen, they intercepted multiple drones and missiles over Riyadh and southern Saudi regions. Under the pressure of widespread selling, Saudi Arabia's benchmark index (TASI) fell by 2.6%, recording its worst intraday performance since April 2025, with heavyweight stock Saudi Aramco dropping by 1.1%. Outside the Gulf region, Egypt's blue-chip index (EGX30) tumbled by 2.5%, approaching its lowest level in about seven months, with all constituent stocks experiencing declines. The Egyptian parliament is scheduled to vote on October 26 to decide whether to authorize armed forces to provide support in their conflict with the Houthi rebels in Yemen upon a request from Saudi Arabia.
