According to CoinMeta, an incident of $16 million in theft occurred at the Indian cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX after its CEO referred to earlier security vulnerability reports as “false alarms.” The exchange stated that in July 2025, due to a malfunction in the automatic fund transfer system, user deposits were transferred to vulnerable wallets, resulting in a loss of $44 million. This incident brings the total loss from both incidents to nearly $60 million. CoinDCX has indicated that it will bear this loss, and users' funds are still safe. On-chain investigator ZachXBT previously questioned the initial denials and called on customers to withdraw their assets.
