According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Israel's Channel 12, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu warned that Israel needs to prepare for international sanctions and a possible disconnection from the global economy. As a result, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened lower this morning. This is the first time the stock market has declined since Netanyahu made such remarks. Last Friday, in an interview, Netanyahu stated that he had ordered the formulation of a plan to enable Israel to use alternative payment methods such as cryptocurrency to cope with potential restrictions on its financial system.
