Zcash has evolved from Sprout pools to Sapling and Orchard pools, as well as the Ironwood pool launched in 2026, which includes enhancements such as quantum-resistant addresses and formal verification to address code vulnerabilities. Grayscale hopes and expects Zcash to continue to expand its transaction capacity, preparing for the post-quantum era and the cybersecurity risks it will bring, which may require sustained financial support and efficient allocation from multiple parties.
