According to CoinMeta, as reported by nada and news, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the launch of the Japanese yen stablecoin jpyc, jpyc Takayoshi Okabe stated that although the project has established partnerships with large corporations such as Sony Bank and LINE NEXT, and the total issuance amount has exceeded 10 billion yen, the current actual circulation is only about 3 billion yen, which is one-quarter of the initial target. He pointed out that Japan's current regulatory regulations limit the amount of each issuance and redemption to no more than 1 million yen, which is one of the main obstacles preventing widespread adoption by businesses. In addition, after jpyc launched in the Korean Upbit market in September, there was an abnormal situation where the price rose to 2 to 3 yen due to a surge in trading demand. Okabe expressed hope that regulatory authorities would relax these restrictions and plans to increase the circulation scale of jpyc by at least ten times in the following year.
