According to CoinMeta, Cui Dongshu stated in a post that from January to September 2026, industrial enterprises above designated size achieved operating revenues of 106.21 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%. The operating costs amounted to 90.30 trillion yuan, with a growth of 6.1%, and the operating profit margin was 5.68%, up 0.44 percentage points from the previous year. The electronics industry, driven by artificial intelligence, saw significant profit growth, as did the upstream raw materials sector, which greatly contributed to the overall improvement in industry profits. However, the automotive industry faced dual pressures of rising costs and weak demand, resulting in poor profitability. From January to September 2026, 23.37 million vehicles were produced, a year-on-year decrease of 4%; revenue reached 804.35 billion yuan, an increase of 2.6%, while costs rose to 716.27 billion yuan, an increase of 3.8%. Profits decreased by 23% to 267.5 billion yuan, and the sales profit margin dropped to 3.3%. In September alone, 3.06 million vehicles were produced, with sales revenue of 1037.4 billion yuan (a 0.6% increase) and costs of 925.7 billion yuan (a 2.5% increase). Profits amounted to 14.2 billion yuan, a decrease of 68%, and the sales profit margin fell to 1.4%, the lowest level in nearly four years.
