Coinbase: Users in the European Economic Area must withdraw restricted crypto assets by October 30
2026-10-27 20:22:32
According to CoinMeta, in accordance with the compliance adjustment arrangements previously announced by MiCA, retail users in the European Economic Area (EEA) are required to withdraw 14 types of restricted crypto assets, including USDT, PYUSD, USD1, DAI, PAXG, etc., by October 30th. On that date, Coinbase will automatically convert the remaining balances of users into USDC or other supported assets and currencies at market prices. The platform has previously restricted the trading and conversion of these assets and reminded users that any restricted assets transferred after October 30th will not be counted towards their account balances, will not participate in the automatic conversion, and there is no guarantee that they can be retrieved. This adjustment affects assets issued by Tether, PayPal, as well as Trump family-related projects such as World Liberty Financial.
