2026-10-28 00:08:36
According to CoinMeta, Oracle ( ORCL.N ) announced an expansion of its cloud AI chip collaboration with NVIDIA ( NVDA.O ). The plan is to increase the deployment scale of AI servers equipped with NVIDIA's new generation of Vera Rubin chips to several gigawatts, while also introducing Google's TPU chips, as well as SambaNova Systems and Cerebras Systems's AI inference chips to diversify the computing power supply. Oracle also plans to use its own Acceleron network chips in some NVIDIA servers to replace certain of NVIDIA's network products. The company stated that different AI workloads have varying requirements for computing power, and a diversified chip supply helps customers choose the appropriate infrastructure based on performance, throughput, and cost. Andrew Feldman, CEO of Cerebras, said that the collaboration with Oracle will significantly expand its base of large customers, and the company is making large-scale entries into data centers of other enterprises. Oracle has not yet disclosed the financing arrangements for this chip procurement.
