According to CoinMeta, on the 27th, the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement stating that in response to the hostile policies of the British authorities, Russia decided to add seven senior executives from British defense companies to its list of individuals prohibited from entering Russia. The statement mentioned that these executives supplied weapons and military technology to Ukraine, which was used to carry out attacks deep within Russian territory with the aim of causing damage to Russia. It was also noted that the UK claimed its defense companies reaped some kind of "defense dividend" from this. The Russian side stated that it would continue to expand the list of sanctions.
