According to CoinMeta, in response to news regarding a data breach, Coinbase stated that no data breach occurred within the company itself. Instead, it was a third-party analytics service provider, Amplitude, that encountered a security incident, which resulted in the contact information of some Coinbase customers and data of other customers from Amplitude being affected. Coinbase indicated that no evidence of unauthorized access to their internal systems has been found, and customer funds have not been compromised. The company will notify the affected customers and relevant regulatory authorities in accordance with legal requirements.
