JPMorgan: Gold faces downward risks; for the U.S. stock market to rebound, it needs to overcome three major hurdles
2026-10-28 16:09:12
According to CoinMeta, JPMorgan stated that due to still thin liquidity and room for interest rates to rise further, gold remains at risk of decline. Morgan Stanley pointed out that before the next round of rebound in U.S. stocks, there are three major hurdles to overcome: AI financing, election risks, and liquidity. Deutsche Bank believes that U.S. stocks may be at the bottom of their year-long decline, and an upward trend is expected to begin by the end of the year. BlackRock warned that the energy shock will leave long-term scars on the European economy. BMO predicts that the Federal Reserve will send a hawkish signal to pause its tightening measures, although several officials may disagree. Jefferies expects that Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell will focus on maintaining credibility. Standard Chartered Bank believes that rising yields on U.S. stocks and bonds are beneficial for risk-sensitive currencies. Citi Macro indicates that weak credit demand in the eurozone signals growth risks. Westpac Bank expects the New Zealand Reserve Bank to continue raising interest rates this week, with rates possibly reaching 3.5% by February next year. A French asset management firm stated that economic data would normally support the Federal Reserve's interest rate hikes, but the Fed is expected to remain cautious.
