According to CoinMeta, investment firm 1kx released a report predicting that the total revenue of the blockchain industry will reach $100 billion in 2026, a year-on-year decrease of about 28%. Among this, businesses related to institutions and the real economy will contribute about 30% of the revenue, and for the first time in 2026, the revenue from real economy-related businesses exceeded that from blockchain infrastructure in the third quarter. The revenue from listed companies also increased to 16%. In the third quarter, a total of 283 protocols returned value to token holders through token buybacks, destructions, or fees.
