According to CoinMeta, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong plans to sell up to $1.31 billion worth of COIN shares before October 2027. Binance indicates that this hacking incident may have originated from a compromised development and operations engineer's laptop, and no private key leaks were found. The Fear & Greed Index has dropped to 35, the lowest level since August, a significant decline from the extremely greedy levels seen two months ago. Coinbase has stopped transfers to affected wallets and is providing assistance to Binance. In the past 24 hours, over $1 billion in positions were liquidated, with long positions losing $958 million as Bitcoin fell below $78,000. Ondo Finance has launched seven tokenized investment portfolios on Solana, three of which are supported by Blackstone. Polymarket has fixed security issues with third-party providers and will compensate affected users; trading has been temporarily suspended. CFTC Chairman Michael Selleger stated, "The era of law enforcement-dominated regulation is over."
