According to CoinMeta, cybersecurity researchers have linked the $6.3 billion hack of Binance to a North Korean TraderTraitor organization. TRM Labs expresses “high confidence” in this attribution and points out that the funds stolen from the Binance and Bitget hacks converged at the same address. Jonathan Levin, co-founder and CEO of Chainalysis, also pointed to TraderTraitor, claiming that the organization stole $6.4 billion, which is slightly higher than Binance’s estimated $6.3 billion in losses.
