According to CoinMeta, Tokyo Electron’s annual performance forecast released today exceeded market expectations, indicating that chip manufacturers are accelerating their capital expenditures to meet the demand for artificial intelligence hardware, and the level of investment may exceed previous forecasts. The company expects its operating profit for the fiscal year ending March next year to reach 1.17 trillion yen (approximately $7.4 billion), while analysts' average forecast is 1.03 trillion yen, which represents a year-on-year increase of 64%. Previously, Tokyo Electron’s operating profit in the third quarter (July to September) surged to 295.4 billion yen, exceeding the market's expectation of 256.1 billion yen. As the world’s largest chip manufacturers are raising their capital expenditure plans, Tokyo Electron continues to receive an increasing number of orders.
