Cognition Acquires Corridor: First, invite the security supervisor over, then buy out his former employer.
2026-10-30 16:44:54
According to CoinMeta, Cognition announced the acquisition of security startup Corridor, with the transaction amount not being disclosed. Corridor raised $25 million in financing in March this year with a valuation of $200 million, focusing on solving security issues related to code writing by AI. Unlike traditional vulnerability scanning, Corridor can integrate with tools such as Cursor, Codex, and Codex to check for security risks during code generation in AI and prevent the merging of code with serious vulnerabilities. Its clients include Langchain, Lovable, and Elevenlabs. There were signs of this acquisition beforehand; on September 29th, Cognition hired Corridor, former head of security at Facebook and former Chief Security Officer Alex Stamos, to oversee the security operations. On October 26th, Cognition upgraded Devin Security to incorporate security models such as Claude Mythos, enabling deep scanning and batch repairs. After the acquisition, Cognition will combine the capabilities of both companies to ensure security from development to deployment.
