Thorchain Discloses a Single-Block Reorganization on Ethereum, Suspending ETH Transactions
2026-11-02 08:32:36
According to CoinMeta, Wu said that on October 31st, an Ethereum block reorganization occurred, and a deposit of 10 ETH that did not actually enter the treasury was confirmed and credited, resulting in a refund of 10 ETH from the treasury. The automatic solvency check procedure was immediately paused, and node operators stopped signing ETH transactions within about two minutes, further halting operations on other blockchains as well. Relevant users have already returned the funds. The core developers are working on fixing the issue, and nodes will decide when to re-enable them based on a security assessment. The blockchains that are still tradable at present are AVAX, BASE, RUNE, and XRPL. The blockchains that are suspended are ATOM, BCH, BSC, BTC, DOGE, ETH, LTC, SOL, TRON, and ZEC.
