According to CoinMeta, Pang Tianyu, the chief research scientist at Tencent's Hunyuan and the person in charge of multimodal reinforcement learning technology, has been reported to have left the company after working there for less than 9 months. Pang Tianyu announced his joining of Tencent in January this year and officially started working there on February 4th; it has not even been 9 months since then. He holds a doctorate from the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University and previously served as a senior research scientist at Sea AI Lab in Singapore, mainly responsible for multimodal reinforcement learning research. In June this year, Tencent open-sourced a multimodal reinforcement learning framework called UNIRL, with Pang Tianyu listed as one of the contributing authors. The framework was updated to v0.2.0 in October.
