Kamino CEO Weisz: $20 million to be invested in tokenized assets over the next 24 months
2026-11-03 06:22:54
According to CoinMeta, Kamino CEO Michael Weisz stated in an open letter to KMNO holders that the Kamino Foundation holds all intellectual property rights of the project and receives all income generated from on-chain, off-chain activities, and institutional collaborations. Kamino plans to invest at least $20 million over the next 24 months to expand the range of tokenized assets it supports and to promote the integration of its credit and liquidity infrastructure with platforms such as banks, securities firms, and digital wallets. The goal of Kamino is to occupy 20% of the tokenized real-world assets market by 2030, with an outstanding loan balance of approximately $50 billion. In the future, the foundation may launch a KMNO buyback and burn plan, but the specific details and timing are not yet determined. Additionally, the economic interests of Kamino founders, investors, and team are tied to KMNO; there is no separate equity distribution. Most of the KMNO allocated to Weisz will only be unlocked after the token's fully diluted valuation ( FDV ) reaches and remains between $1 billion and $10 billion; the team will also adopt a similar token unlocking mechanism in the future.
