According to CoinMeta, following the significant decline in tech stocks last week, large institutional investors planning to participate in Anthropic IPO have begun to request a reduction in its valuation, with hopes of setting it between $1.5 trillion and $1.6 trillion. Investors are concerned about overheated investment in AI, obstacles encountered in data center construction, and the difficulty of realizing profits from massive investments in computing power. The company plans to launch roadshows as soon as next week and aims to go public during the week of November 16th. On November 2nd, Anthropic submitted an updated S-1 /A prospectus to SEC, revealing that the total commitments for computing power and infrastructure contracts amount to approximately $895.4 billion, covering cloud computing purchases, data center and equipment leasing, etc. Of this, about $447.5 billion is expected to be incurred by the end of 2030, with the remainder extending until 2045. In just the next 12 months, there will be contractual payment obligations of approximately $69.8 billion. Anthropic achieved revenue of $16.956 billion in the third quarter, a month-on-month increase of about 47%, although the month-on-month growth rate in the second quarter was as high as 144%. However, operating profit turned from $974 million in the second quarter to a loss of $567 million in the third quarter.
