Eurozone bond yields rise along with U.S. Treasurys; markets focus on the mid-term elections in the United States

According to CoinMeta, bond yields in the eurozone rose during morning trading, following the increase in U.S. Treasury yields, influenced by both the rise in U.S. Treasury yields and a slight rebound in oil prices. Since no important economic data was released on that day, government bond issuances were limited to Austria and Germany, shifting investors' attention to the U.S. mid-term elections. Christoph Rieger, an analyst at a German commercial bank, stated that the likelihood of the Democratic Party gaining control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives has increased, which would be positive for U.S. Treasury bonds. The yield on German 10-year government bonds rose by 2.1 basis points to 3.316%, while the yield on Belgian 10-year linear bonds increased by 3.2 basis points to 4.428%.
