2026-11-03 22:29:25
According to CoinMeta, the chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Gary Gensler, announced on November 3 that individual stock perpetual futures were approved for the first time to be listed and traded on qualified regulated U.S. exchanges. The relevant exchanges must also register with the CFTC and complete the notification registration for securities and futures products with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Gensler stated that these contracts have been deemed approved in accordance with CFTC rules and are considered securities and futures products that are subject to the regulation of both the CFTC and the SEC. This move expands the range of regulated perpetual futures products in the United States from digital commodities to traditional stocks, providing U.S. traders with a compliant trading channel within the country.
