According to CoinMeta, Amazon, Tesla, and SpaceX have joined the opposition to the tokenized stock trading platform launched by ICE and OKX. As announced on November 2nd, Netflix, Sofi Technologies, and Lam Research also expressed their objections, raising the total number of opposing companies to 56, an increase of 6 from last week. The platform plans to allow investors to trade tokenized versions of U.S. stocks around the clock through blockchain-based trading venues using stablecoins, and intends to operate under SEC's "innovation exemption" mechanism. Statistics show that among the 62 companies initially selected by OKX and ICE, 49 (about 79%) have already voiced their opposition. According to SEC's rules, companies have 30 days from receiving the notification to object, with that deadline possibly expiring on November 3rd. OKX, co-chairman of ICE along with Andrew Cuomo, stated that many companies wish to observe how the market operates before deciding whether to participate, and more firms are expected to join in the future.
