According to CoinMeta, as reported by OnchainLens, the insurance pool (insurancepool) and the core library (corevault) were subjected to a hacker attack on the BNB chain, resulting in losses of approximately $111,000. The attackers seemingly utilized lightning loan price manipulation to trigger inflated redemption payments. The attack process included: 1. Borrowing about $143.6 million in WBNB2 through Lista DAO's Moolah. 2. Manipulating the liquidity pool price through large-scale exchanges. 3. Triggering withdrawals of 260.21 BNB (about $180,300) from the insurance pool via the core library. 4. Conducting reverse exchanges and repaying the lightning loans. 5. Taking away about 160.26 BNB (about $111,000) before deducting gas fees. As a result, the net value of the insurance pool decreased by about $179,500.
