The stock market dominated by AI becomes the main "victim" of the mid-term elections in the United States

According to CoinMeta, influenced by the strong performance of the Democratic Party in the U.S. mid-term elections, there are concerns in the market that the artificial intelligence industry will face stricter regulation. Stock markets in Japan and South Korea declined, and the stock prices of chip manufacturers tumbled significantly. South Korea's KOSPI index fell by 3.7% at one point, wiping out the gains from earlier in the session. Samsung Electronics lost more than 4%, and SK Hynix fell nearly 6%, becoming the biggest drag on the index decline. Japan's Nikkei 225 index plummeted by 4% during the day, and Taiwan's weighted index fell by about 2.6%. Investors believe that the strong performance of the Democratic Party may be unfavorable for high-growth technology and AI companies, potentially creating obstacles for the expansion of data centers in the United States. This could cast a shadow over the demand prospects for chip manufacturers in South Korea, China, Taiwan, and Japan, as well as other hardware suppliers, all of which are important participants in the construction of artificial intelligence infrastructure in the U.S.
