According to CoinMeta, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated on Wednesday that Russian forces attacked two power stations in Kyiv and Zhytomyr provinces of Ukraine. As temperatures drop, Russia continues to strike Ukrainian energy facilities almost daily. The attacks also targeted a cargo ship in the waters near Odessa. The day prior, Russian forces used missiles and drones in their attacks, resulting in power outages across large areas of Ukraine. At the time of the attacks, peace negotiations mediated by the United States were scheduled to resume a week later. The Ukrainian Ministry of Emergency Situations and local officials issued statements stating that Russia also attacked provinces such as Poltava, Dnieper, Kirovohrad, and Rivno, as well as the capital city of Kyiv.
