According to CoinMeta, on the afternoon of November 4, 2026, Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Le Hoai Trung, the Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs who came to China to attend the 11th Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Foreign Ministers' Meeting. Wang Yi stated that China is willing to work with Vietnam to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two parties and countries, to enhance high-level exchanges, to promote comprehensive connectivity across land, sea, and air, to improve trade and investment facilitation, to seize opportunities in the development of emerging industries, to expand cooperation in tourism and talent cultivation, and to continuously strengthen people-to-people ties. Both sides will also strengthen multilateral collaboration on platforms such as East Asian cooperation, properly handle maritime issues, and jointly maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea. They will support each other in hosting the APEC Leaders' Informal Meeting.
