Experts: Houthi militants' advantage in a protracted war becomes apparent, with limited military countermeasures for Saudi Arabia
2026-11-05 11:19:46
According to CoinMeta, an expert from Rice University’s Baker Institute, Kristian Coates Ulrichsen, stated that the current risk imbalance between Houthi forces and Saudi Arabia has even surpassed that of the early stages of the conflict from 2015 to 2022. The impacts of attacks on civilian infrastructure and energy facilities are undermining investor confidence. The Houthi forces have a solid foundation, have dug deep defensive fortifications, and have suffered far less in the long-term attrition warfare than Saudi Arabia, leaving the Saudi leadership with almost no viable military options to deal with this adversary.
