According to CoinMeta, Ge Ju, the deputy director of the Development Planning Department of the National Energy Administration, stated that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, there will be a full exploitation of the potential for regulating electric power loads such as electric vehicles and air conditioners. Smart and orderly charging will be widely promoted, and the scale of vehicle-grid interaction applications will be expanded to foster the large-scale development of virtual power plants. The goal is to achieve a regulation capacity of over 50 million kilowatts by 2030, allowing more users to participate in the regulation of the power system. In addition, regarding energy storage, the role of energy storage as a "power bank" and "regulator" for the power system will be better utilized. A number of pumped storage power stations will be built, with an installed capacity of around 160 million kilowatts by 2030. At the same time, significant efforts will be made to develop new types of energy storage, with the goal of reaching an installed capacity of 300 million kilowatts by 2030.
