Claude Launches Personal Financial Management Feature: Connects to Bank Accounts, AI Helps You Track Where Your Money Goes
2026-11-06 15:22:36
According to CoinMeta, Anthropic has launched the beta version of Claude, personal, and finance (personal finance). Users can connect their bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and investment accounts through Plaid, allowing Claude to read account balances and transaction records for up to two years, enabling them to directly answer questions such as "Where did I spend my money this month?" and "How much money is left before my salary is paid?" Claude can summarize income and expenses from different accounts, identify recurring deductions, abnormal fees, and continuously rising subscription bills, and also generate expenditure charts, a bill calendar, and a personal financial dashboard. Users need to authorize this feature themselves; Claude does not allow access to bank login passwords, and permissions are limited to reading only, without the ability to transfer funds or conduct transactions. Even when connecting to investment accounts, users can currently only view basic information such as balances and cannot see specific stock holdings or transaction records. This feature is currently being rolled out in batches to paid users in the United States: pro, max, and ultra. ChatGPT launched a similar service as early as May of this year and now covers free users in the United States as well.
