Asian stock markets have seen a $6 trillion evaporate since their peak, and the four major tech markets have entered a bear market

According to CoinMeta, Asian stock markets have lost approximately $6 trillion since their peaks, with the major tech hubs entering a bear market. Just today, Asian markets alone lost over $1 trillion. This phenomenon followed a 4.4% decline in the S&P 500 index and a 5.5% collapse on NASDAQ, resulting in a $3 trillion loss for the U.S. stock market. Since Asia serves as a crucial chip manufacturing base for America's artificial intelligence industry, Samsung and SK SK Hynix account for more than 50% of South Korea's KOSPI index, while TSMC comprises 41% of Taiwan's TAIEX index. These companies supply chips and equipment for U.S. artificial intelligence data centers, including products from NVIDIA. With the Democratic Party's victory in Congress, there are expectations that stricter regulations on artificial intelligence and a slowdown in data center construction will be implemented. Ten Democrats have proposed bills to ban super artificial intelligence. As Wall Street worries about a slowdown in artificial intelligence spending, Asian markets have also been impacted. This is a manifestation of concentrated risk.
