Elon Musk adjusts production plans for the Texas factory; Cybertruck capacity to be shifted to Cybercab

According to CoinMeta, Musk stated that Tesla plans to gradually reduce the production of the Cybertruck model at its factory in Texas starting from mid-2027 in order to free up capacity for expanding the production of the Cybercab model. Tesla began producing this uniquely designed electric pickup truck near Austin in 2023, but the model has struggled to meet market demand and has been subject to several recalls. The message Musk posted on social media on Friday did not clarify whether the production of the Cybertruck model will be transferred to other factories or if it will be completely discontinued. This year, Tesla has also started producing a golden two-seater Cybercab model at its Austin factory, which is designed specifically for the robotaxi market. This model is considered an important part of Tesla's transformation plan, as the company aims to shift from being an electric vehicle manufacturer to a leader in the field of artificial intelligence products, with its business scope including humanoid robots. Musk has described the Cybertruck model as Tesla's best product to date and expects the company to produce over 250,000 units per year, depending on market demand. However, sales in the first year of its launch were less than one-sixth of this target.
