According to CoinMeta, Amazon has launched a text-based shopping feature through Alexa, aimed at helping users search and compare products, track promotional activities and price changes, and allowing the "shopping version of Alexa" to complete purchases on their behalf. This feature is currently being rolled out to a small number of invited American users, with plans to expand its reach in the coming weeks. This release comes shortly after Amazon recently blocked AI shopping proxies from accessing its e-commerce platform. Additionally, in March of this year, Amazon won a court ruling that prohibited Perplexity's shopping proxies from accessing its platform. However, an appeals court in the United States overturned this ban in August, and related litigation is still ongoing.
