She also pointed out that Western countries still have no intention of taking into account Russia's concerns in the security realm and continue to provoke an escalation of tensions. The deployment of foreign troops within Ukraine would mean de facto armed intervention and a deliberate projection of additional security threats towards Russia. For Russia, this is absolutely unacceptable. Once foreign armed forces are deployed, they will become legitimate targets for Russian counteraction.
