CZ Calls on the crypto industry to unite: Disagreements are meaningless
2026-11-08 15:45:05
According to CoinMeta, former Binance CEO Zhao Changpeng (CZ) called for unity within the crypto industry, stating that arguments between different crypto factions are meaningless as digital assets are closely interconnected. He tweeted, "The rise and fall of most crypto assets are interrelated; although the magnitude may vary, the situation of one asset affects everyone. Infighting in this field is utterly pointless." Zhao's appeal was in response to discussions on social media about how past exchange crises affected token prices, mentioning the FTX incident in 2022, the WazirX hacking attack in 2024, and the recent security vulnerabilities of Bitget. Currently, the crypto industry is facing a major security issue; Binance suffered a $6.34 billion hacker attack on October 29th, which affected multiple digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana. Binance has assured users that it will cover the losses caused by this hack and stated that approximately $2.85 billion of the stolen funds have been frozen or intercepted, and 98% of the affected token assets have been replenished.
