According to CoinMeta, as reported by U.Today, the security vulnerability in Web3Auth did not affect Trust Wallet. The incident occurred on November 7th and resulted in the exposure of private keys from some Keplr wallets, with attackers stealing at least 6 million US dollars from over 44,000 wallets. Web3Auth confirmed that there were security issues with its infrastructure, particularly affecting accounts created through login via Google or Apple. Keplr has warned users not to deposit funds into the affected accounts and has suspended the embedded wallet service, actively working on asset recovery. Although Metamask states that there is no evidence indicating that users were affected, this incident may put pressure on market sentiment.
