We're now moving away from testing LLMs by things like "creating an SVG of a pelican riding a bicycle." To get a more comprehensive understanding, I was curious what Opus 5 would do if I gave it the first paragraph of text from *The Lord of the Rings*, a budget of 1 million tokens (about $10), and asked it to render three JavaScript versions. Opus ran for about two hours, writing 5,500 lines of code (procedurally) to render the story. It was a bit rough, but interesting. It's truly incredible that an LLM could actually manage to place and coordinate various polygon assets in (x, y, z) coordinates, write code to animate them, and ultimately accomplish all that. I also love these kinds of examples because a normal person simply wouldn't spend the time writing such custom code, but LLM (game developers) have endless energy and patience, so it shows how our thinking has shifted from "nobody would do this" to "of course, it's free anyway." There are probably many more examples like this. But I'm excited to create highly customized worlds where you can imagine placing players, for example, letting them participate in the Lord of the Rings story as NPCs or characters, and so on. Like a timed version of Grand Theft Auto X that you can experience anytime. Finally, the world/game domain exposed a weakness of LLM: they can't easily review their own work because they can't efficiently natively perceive videos or play games within videos. For example, Opus 5 had to very slowly and laboriously take screenshots at different points in time, resulting in several errors and many flaws in the footage. This is an example of a rudimentary capability (multi-mode, gameplay) that I think is still quite lacking.

This could be one of the worst weeks in Bitcoin history. Many people thought they did almost everything right. They bought reputable hardware wallets, generated mnemonic phrases offline, followed established best practices, yet still lost significant amounts of Bitcoin due to a vulnerability affecting mnemonic phrases generated in March 2021 and later for @COLDCARDwallet. This vulnerability remained undetected for over five years. I believe this will permanently change people's confidence in self-custody of Bitcoin. Over the years, I've tried many different hardware wallets. Intuitively, I've never trusted any wallet to the point of storing large amounts of Bitcoin. These are small devices from startups, costing only $200, yet people use them to protect life-changing fortunes. Most users never audit the code. I've never conducted a sufficiently thorough code audit either. I lack the time and technical expertise to independently verify every component of the device, the firmware, entropy generation, and the supply chain. Furthermore, there are numerous potential points of failure. The software may contain unintended bugs. Insiders may have intentionally introduced vulnerabilities. The vendor could compromise components of the device. Firmware updates could also cause problems. The random number generator could malfunction, and almost no one would notice. Everyone who buys the device indicates they might eventually store a large amount of wealth on it. This makes the entire hardware and software supply chain an extremely attractive target. This situation always seems inevitable. I've always believed that attempting to self-store a large amount of Bitcoin requires multi-vendor multi-signature, with keys generated independently using different hardware and software. The keys should also be stored in different physical locations. Even if one device is completely compromised, it shouldn't result in the loss of all your Bitcoin. Even with this architecture, I've always felt somewhat uncertain. I've also held large amounts of MSTR, ASST, GBTC, and IBIT. Self-preservation is a powerful tool, but its risks are clearly far greater than many people realize. I believe the self-preservation model will continue to exist, but it has undergone a permanent change. Currently, the wave of Bitcoin adoption is primarily driven by ETFs, Treasury companies, and institutional custodians. This comes mainly from those who are not interested in expertise in areas such as private key generation, hardware security, firmware, backups, estate planning, and physical storage. This is entirely understandable. Securing one's own keys is so complex that even the experts who manufacture these devices failed to prevent this vulnerability, and the broader technical community failed to discover it for over five years. The free market naturally fosters specialization. Bitcoin remains an extremely valuable tool. Most people lacking deep expertise in securely generating and protecting private keys will outsource this responsibility to individuals and institutions specializing in this area. For users who want direct control of large amounts of Bitcoin, multi-vendor multisig should be standard practice. If you are concerned about this, you can choose institutional-grade custody services. Protecting large amounts of Bitcoin with only a single key generated by a single hardware wallet leads to an excessive concentration of risk. I believe this is the direction Bitcoin custody is heading. The obvious concern is that institutional custody could ultimately lead to an excessive concentration of Bitcoin in the hands of large companies. This would bring the risks of censorship, seizure, and confiscation. However, Bitcoin's portability and settlement characteristics provide a crucial check and balance. Anyone can create a wallet and request that Bitcoin be sent to them. Settlements can be completed quickly worldwide. And it's inexpensive. In just minutes, people can go from counterparty risk exposure to direct ownership of assets. Gold has never possessed this characteristic. Most people don't hold physical gold. Their gold is stored in a vault. You can't quickly ship gold from New York to Tokyo. You can't easily demand immediate global settlement and obtain assets you can personally verify and hold. Gold's lack of portability and inability to quickly demand physical settlement ultimately led to its failure as a currency. Bitcoin solves this problem. You can leave a custodian, acquire real Bitcoin, create a wallet, demand settlement, and move your wealth into cold storage. You always have the ability to eliminate counterparty risk. This choice is crucial. Bitcoin empowers everyone to control their own wealth. It empowers everyone to break free from custodians. It empowers everyone to demand final settlement and obtain assets under their personal control. This ability to control private keys is key to ensuring the accountability of custodians, governments, and financial institutions. This is one of the fundamental properties of how Bitcoin works. I think we might consider this moment one of the darkest periods in Bitcoin's history. The loss of Bitcoin has shaken confidence. Many who were once steadfast believers in Bitcoin are now forced to re-examine the assumptions they once took for granted. If this marks a turning point, I wouldn't be particularly surprised. As long as Bitcoin itself remains secure, the failure of a custody mechanism doesn't render the underlying monetary system ineffective. It only forces the market to develop better tools and stricter standards.

China is building railways that could render the Strait of Hormuz ineffective, while the US is bombing railway lines that pass through Iran. Colin Powell's former chief of staff, Colonel Larry Wilkerson, repeatedly points to a nearly ignored map. China now has seven or eight railways connecting its Pacific ports to the heart of Europe, two of which pass directly through Iran. Goods that once had to wade through the Strait of Hormuz can now be transported by rail. According to him, these corridors are the only truly strategically significant Iranian targets the US has bombed during the war. Following this line of thought, the importance of these chokepoints is gradually diminishing. As the railways continue to operate, the importance of the Strait of Hormuz, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, and even the Suez Canal is decreasing year by year; no navy in the world can blockade cargo transport that has never been transported by water. His assessment of the entire war is: the decline of naval power, the rise of land power, and both sides possessing nuclear weapons for the first time in history.

AI demand is outpacing GPU supply. Meanwhile, most deployed GPUs remain idle. @RenderNetwork's Dispersed aims to bridge this gap through a decentralized marketplace for AI and general-purpose computing. > A distributed GPU marketplace connecting global developers and enterprises with idle GPUs. > Provides on-demand computing services for AI inference, model training, scientific research, autonomous agents, and more. > Node operators earn RENDER tokens by contributing idle GPU capacity and completing workloads. > Employs a "burn-and-mint equilibrium" model, where 95% of computing revenue is used to burn RENDER tokens, directly accumulating token value. > Early deployments have been applied to autonomous AI agents, scientific reproducibility research, generative art, and autonomous AI memory infrastructure. Our latest report explores how Dispersed extends the Render ecosystem beyond rendering and whether a decentralized GPU marketplace can become a viable alternative to traditional cloud infrastructure. The most challenging part of creating AI user-generated content (UGC) ads is maintaining consistency in the character across all shot transitions. This character inconsistency makes most AI UGC ads look fake. Once an inconsistency is detected, the entire ad appears unrealistic. Here's my process for ensuring the character remains the same throughout the entire ad: 1. Generate the character using GPT Image 2 First, prepare a clear image of the character—the face shape and overall look you want. 2. Convert it to a character concept art Render the same character from all the angles you need—front, side, and three-quarter profile. 3. Submit the concept art to Seedance 2.0 It will generate each shot based on your concept art, ensuring the character remains the same regardless of angle or shot transition. 4. Let Claude Code handle the entire process It will write prompts, drive Seedance to generate each shot, then stitch them together and add captions to complete the ad. We will release the complete skill set used to create this ad. Comment "GooseUGC" and I'll add you to my contact list. Remember to follow me so I can send you a private message.

Situation Analysis: Two contradictory news items regarding AI-related jobs were released today. • News Item 1: Call center stocks fell due to concerns that AI would render call centers unworthy of investment and companies replacing customer service representatives with AI. • News Item 2: Companies investing the most in AI are experiencing the fastest headcount growth, including entry-level positions. • Nearly four years after the ChatGPT era, AI has become a significant net job creator, rather than the previously predicted "job doomsday." • Headcount growth takes 6-12 months to materialize and is only seen in companies with high-intensity AI adoption. • Almost all new jobs are concentrated in white-collar positions within the tech industry. @theojaffee: "The booming development of AI could contribute 40-50% to US GDP growth by 2025, and the supply chain behind data centers (chips, cooling, power infrastructure, construction) could also create genuine blue-collar jobs, even if the data centers themselves only employ a small number of permanent staff."

🔥Elon Musk envisions Tesla Optimus leading humanity into an era of abundance: "Optimus will render 'economy' meaningless. It can do everything humans don't want to do. This will be an era of abundance... Its transformative power will far exceed that of the automobile." What are your thoughts on the potential repercussions of this?

These claymation-style ads are a hit on Meta. You can create an ad like this in just 15 minutes using Claude Code techniques, GPT-image-2, and Seedance (remember to save this! 👇) I created this ad for @BiomaHealth entirely using Claude and some custom techniques. No video editing tools were used. 1. /storyboard I described the ad concept to the agency. Claude would use GPT Image 2 to render a 16-frame storyboard for each scene—the same storyboard, different visual styles. I ultimately chose the best one. This one had a "soft 3D clay" style. 2. /voiceover — Before any visual effects First, the narration was generated (using ElevenLabs), then transcribed using Whisper to get an accurate timestamp for each word. Now, each scene starts immediately when the dialogue appears. 3. `/keyframes` — One image per scene (GPT Image 2) Two points to ensure consistent image style: - Several style reference images to ensure each frame is within the same clay world. - Real product photos as reference. Without them, the model will just look like a random, ordinary bottle. Labels cannot be created out of thin air. 4. `/animate each keyframe` (Seedance 2.0) Each still image frame becomes a 4-second animation clip. The motion cues are simple: - A specific action ("Bacteria scattering and rolling around") - Remind yourself to maintain the clay style, otherwise the image will become too realistic. 5. `/stitch + /captions` (ffmpeg + VEED) Trim each clip to the scene length, add narration, speed up by 1.25x, and finally add subtitles. 6. `/view and review` Intelligent Experience watches its own video—extracts frames, transcribes them, and checks if each shot perfectly matches the narration at the time. It's better at identifying problems and fixing them automatically than I am. 7. /Learning Every error that occurred during this run was logged into the skills or review rules. Total cost: Approximately $14. (Images $3, video $11, subtitles $0.60, narration a few cents.) My job: Selecting the concept, selecting the voiceover, and reviewing the final version. The rest was done by the agent. Comment "Clay" below and follow me, and I'll send you a skills file so you can directly create similar videos using Claude Code.
