The tokenized stock trading on Solana continues to expand. Sunrise has recently launched popular assets on the US stock market and across chains, with the latest addition being the tokenized stocks corresponding to GoPro. GPROAt the same time, xStocks has confirmed that it will bring a batch of stocks from the London Stock Exchange onto the blockchain market in the coming weeks, further expanding the range of tradable assets of Solana DeFi.
GPRO Launched in time to capitalize on the retail investors' short-selling theme
Sunrise This launch, GPRO, coincides with the market's renewed speculation in GoPro short-selling trades. Reports mention that the stock price of GoPro has fallen by more than 95% since 2021, and recently there has been a rebound due to the return of retail funds.
It is alleged that Markiplier, the creator of YouTube, already holds approximately 8.5% of the shares in GoPro. This news encouraged his followers and other retail traders to enter the market, driving the corresponding stock of GPRO to rise by over 20% during that day's trading.
However, this round of trading enthusiasm quickly encountered new variables. GoPro subsequently announced that it would be acquired by Starman Optical and Inc. According to the company's press release, the acquirers plan to expand their business into markets such as AI data centers, government, defense, and aerospace. The announcement also stated that GoPro will continue to be listed on NASDAQ.
Sunrise Continuously Expands the On-Chain Stock Pool
Before the launch of GPRO, Sunrise had already gradually introduced various types of tokenized stocks and popular assets, including U.S. stock targets such as Eli Lilly, Marvell, as well as popular tokens from other networks.

This indicates that the tokenized securities trading on Solana is gradually expanding from a few highly liquid stocks to more assets that are topical and have active trading. For traders on the chain, the number of available assets for trading is increasing, and the stock trading scenarios on Solana DeFi are also continuing to become more diverse.
xStocks will bring LSE assets onto the blockchain
On the other hand, xStocks has also confirmed that it will introduce assets from the London Stock Exchange into the ecosystem of Solana. According to their disclosure, approximately 100 new assets will be added in the coming weeks, including stocks of large listed companies such as HSBC Holdings, Shell, and AstraZeneca.
As previously mentioned, xStocks, there are plans to tokenize a wider range of real-world assets, covering markets such as Hong Kong, Europe, and South Korea. This advancement in listing assets on the London Stock Exchange means that Solana's scope of online securities trading is extending from the U.S. stock market to more international markets.
From the launch of Sunrise to GPRO, and then to the expansion of LSE stocks with xStocks, the tokenization of stocks under Solana is advancing in two directions: "more targets" and "more markets".
