Mountain View, California, September 28, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Digital workplace platform company Omnissa today announced the appointment of Amit Singh as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. Amit Singh possesses over 35 years of experience and has helped build several of the world's most influential enterprise technology platforms, including serving as the President of Palo Alto Networks, as well as being a co-founder and President of Google Cloud. He will succeed Shankar Iyer, who recently resigned from his role as CEO to pursue other opportunities.

"I am very pleased to join Omnissa at such a critical moment for the company and the industry," said Amit Singh, CEO of Omnissa. " Omnissa has established itself as a leader in the field of digital workspace technology, with a world-class platform, an outstanding team, and a client base that includes some of the most demanding enterprises globally. The transition towards agentic AI is changing the way work is done, and endpoints are at the heart of this transformation. I look forward to leading this team in continuing to innovate and delivering products that will help our customers and partners manage and protect work in this new era."

Omnissa indicates that the company is a clear leader in the rapidly growing digital workspace and endpoint management market, serving over 15,000 enterprise customers and tens of millions of endpoints. The company's platform covers unified endpoint management, virtual desktops and applications, digital employee experiences, as well as endpoint security, and in Gartner the first Endpoint Management Tools 2026 report, it ranked first in all four use cases. Omnissa recently also launched a new set of AI-first innovative products, providing customers with greater visibility and control in increasingly autonomous workspaces.

As AI agents redefine the way work is done in enterprises, endpoints are becoming a critical layer of security control. Singh brings experience and vision that can be built upon the solid foundation of Omnissa, helping companies to define the era of agentic and endpoints.

"Within a year, every laptop and mobile phone used in enterprise management will become agentic endpoint, running dozens of AI agents that act on behalf of the people they represent and with their authorized permissions," Singh added. "The last time a new type of participant appeared uninvited in the form of mobile phones and personal devices, enterprises expanded on existing management platforms rather than building a new one from scratch. This change with agents is similar. Omnissa already has agents, credentials, traffic management, telemetry, and repair capabilities on these devices; our task now is to extend all of this to the agents, so that CIO and CISO can say with confidence, 'Yes, it's possible.'"

KKR, the Co-Director of Private Equity in North America, and Omnissa, a member of the Board of Directors, stated: "Amit has helped to build two iconic corporate platforms over the past 20 years. Omnissa manages the devices on which business operations take place. As AI agents increasingly undertake these tasks, and as each company considers how to securely utilize AI technology, the company is in a uniquely advantageous position. Amit is the right leader to help Omnissa seize this tremendous opportunity."

Amit Singh recently served as the president of Palo Alto Networks. During his tenure, the company's market value grew by five times, and it launched several new businesses worth over one billion dollars each, becoming the world's first cybersecurity company with a market value of 100 billion dollars. Prior to this, Singh worked at Google for nearly a decade, serving as a co-founder and president of Google Cloud. His career began at Oracle, where he spent over twenty years working in areas such as product development, engineering, sales, and strategy. Singh is also the founder of abovecloud9.ai, which collaborates with Art, of, and AI to use AI to increase access to meditation and mental health programs. He holds a Master's degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College, of, and Engineering.
