Cosmos provides connectivity capabilities to help banks participate in the Swift ledger for 24/7 cross-border payments.

Cosmos Tokenization Suite provides financial institutions with capabilities, including 24/7 cross-border payments, through integration with key networks such as the blockchain-based ledger of Swift.

New York, September 28, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Cosmos indicates that it can help banks and financial institutions connect their core ledgers to the EVM and Hyperledger Besu environments, such as environments that support blockchain-based shared ledgers for Swift, in order to support use cases like 24/7 cross-border payments.

Cosmos indicates that Cosmos Tokenization Suite provides the infrastructure for banks to establish their own tokenized deposit ledgers, synchronize them with existing core systems such as Fiserv, FIS, Jack Henry, Temenos, and Hogan, and connect them to networks like Swift, Canton, Partior, Ethereum, Solana, etc. The company states that the ledger of Swift offers secure message delivery and orchestration capabilities, while the Cosmos platform provides a smooth pathway for financial institutions to transfer customer funds between counterparties.

On this basis, Cosmos states that it can accelerate the progress of banks participating in the Swift pilot in three key areas. The first is the integration between the core banking system and the digital ledger, including EVM and environments based on Hyperledger, such as the ledger of Swift. It can also enhance interoperability between different networks and counterparties, and in the future, it will support collaboration with correspondent banks to achieve broader participation.

Co-CEO Cosmos stated: "For our customers, this is about helping them connect their core ledgers to external networks through their existing infrastructure and partnerships. Banks need to provide customers with a 24/7 payment and real-time fund management experience. Cosmos offers the connectivity required to achieve this goal, and we can now begin to advance this among counterparties."

Cosmos indicates that in addition to payments, Cosmos Tokenization Suite can also support a wider range of use cases, such as real-time fund management, instant cash collection, and programmable cash flows.

The company stated that the ledger of Swift provides a secure orchestration layer that enables 24/7 cross-border payments using tokenized deposits, while keeping these deposits on the bank's balance sheet and maintaining the advantages of commercial bank currency. With the help of Cosmos, tokenized deposits remain on the ledger of the issuing bank; the ledger of Swift securely orchestrates the flow of funds between participating institutions, including during overnight and weekend periods, before final settlement is completed through existing systems.

Cosmos indicates that currently, the value equivalent to the global GDP is circulated through the Swift network every two to three days, and 75% of transactions on Swift can reach the receiving bank within 10 minutes. Incorporating a blockchain-based ledger into the Swift infrastructure will not change its role as a global financial messaging network. The final settlement will still be conducted through agreed mechanisms, including real-time full settlement systems. This allows banks to extend the availability of payment services beyond traditional business hours while maintaining their existing settlement arrangements.

The company stated that the minimum viable product (MVP) of the Swift ledger was developed in collaboration with over 40 financial institutions worldwide. Currently, 17 leading financial institutions are putting it into practice, piloting tokenized deposit transactions in a series of use cases. This project is built upon the global reach of the Swift cooperative organization, which covers more than 12,500 financial institutions and enterprises in over 200 markets.

Multiple developers have noticed that on the "Dark Side of the Moon" API platform, a " kimi-k3-1 " identifier appears in the backend model registry and can be called; subsequently, the official Kimi platform also featured a preview of the " K3.1 " or " K3 11111 " model, which supports 1M tokens context windows. The original text also suggests that it may offer three levels of inference strength: Low, High, and Max, and introduces Agent, Swarm, as well as a multi-task mode. The price for API is said to be the same as the current K3, but it could also just be a placeholder.
