LPP Logistics adopts a customized technology combination of Geekplus that matches the local operational requirements. Building on the experience of deploying large-scale RoboShuttle and P-series robot fleets in Europe with Geekplus, this project utilizes mature system designs and deployment processes across multiple facilities, reducing integration complexity and enabling faster and more predictable system go-live times.
Shaping the Future of European Retail Logistics with Intelligent Automation
With the continuous growth and transformation of the European retail industry, customers' demands for speed, accuracy, and consistency are also increasing. Especially during peak seasons, operations need to cope with a surge in demand. The solution provided by Geekplus for LPP Logistics is aimed at addressing this challenge by creating a highly scalable, robot-led fulfillment operation that can adapt to the changes in LPP fashion categories and SKU diversity.
Poland holds strategic importance in European retail and logistics. As LPP continues to strengthen its distribution capabilities in Poland, automation is becoming a key support for achieving flexible production capacity, resilient operations, and sustained performance in fulfilling commitments.
Automated system designed for the needs of fashion retail
This automated system provides 1.4 million automatic high-position storage slots and achieves a 99% increase in measured efficiency. This system is not intended to replace human labor; rather, it combines automation with skilled human supervision to reduce repetitive manual handling and long-distance walking, allowing employees to focus on monitoring and exception handling. This helps to improve working conditions and also enhances operational capabilities in robot management and troubleshooting. In addition, the Geekplus advanced operating system supports the LPP Logistics in continuously tracking and controlling the flow of goods.
At the two sites of LPP Logistics, robots from Geekplus work together to efficiently store and transport a wide range of fashion products. Over 1,600 autonomous robots operate between shelves and workstations, supporting hundreds of thousands of storage locations and turnover boxes.
This solution also maximizes the use of vertical space in the warehouse, with a storage height of approximately 12 meters.
At these two locations, the solution has helped LPP Logistics to maximize warehouse height and flexibility while maintaining throughput performance, in order to accommodate a wide range of retail SKU and pallet-based processes. It supports daily retail fulfillment and allows for a more agile response to seasonal fluctuations.
Performance platform that can be extended together with LPP Logistics
Scalability is at the core of this project. The design of the Geekplus system enables LPP Logistics to gradually increase the capacity of robots, workstations, and overall throughput in response to seasonal peaks, changes in storage requirements, and growth in SKU.
The Geekplus robot management system is capable of unified scheduling for large-scale robot fleets, supporting over 1,000 robots at a single site. This is crucial for maintaining operational continuity during warehouse expansion; in the retail environment, flexibility and reliability directly affect customer service and business performance, which is particularly important.
Geekplus European CEO Hong Yu said regarding this collaboration: "We are very proud to be able to expand together with LPP Logistics and extend our warehouse automation strategy to two fulfillment centers in Poland. For retailers, one of the biggest challenges is to maintain fast and reliable fulfillment of large volumes of fashion items while also being flexible enough to meet seasonal demands and changing product ranges. Geekplus hopes to help bridge this gap by supporting high-density, fashion-oriented fulfillment capabilities, and at the same time enable LPP Logistics to increase production capacity over time."
LPP Logistics CEO Sebastian So ł tys added, "We chose Geekplus because it brings measurable value to our fulfillment model – it not only improves daily operations but also gives us more confidence in our expansion capabilities. Geekplus technology helps us enhance process efficiency and throughput, while reducing repetitive manual handling. Equally important is that its deployment method provides us with the certainty we need when expanding across sites. By collaborating with Geekplus, we can not only deliver reliable performance now but also maintain the flexibility to expand to keep up with LPP's growing fashion categories and changing seasonal demands, ultimately supporting a better customer experience."
At these two locations, Geekplus has supported phased rollouts to maintain operational continuity and minimize disruptions, thereby ensuring that LPP Logistics can continue to meet customer expectations during the transition period.
