Automated system designed for the needs of fashion retail
This automated system provides 1.4 million automatic high-position storage slots and has achieved a 99% increase in measured efficiency. The system is not intended to replace human labor; rather, it enhances the operation of LPP Logistics by combining automation with skilled human supervision. It reduces repetitive manual tasks and walking distances, allowing employees to focus on monitoring and handling exceptions. This helps to improve working conditions and also boosts operational capabilities in robot management and troubleshooting. In addition, the advanced operating system of Geekplus supports continuous tracking and control of cargo flow by LPP Logistics.
At the two sites of LPP Logistics, robots from Geekplus work together to efficiently store and transport a wide range of fashion products. Over 1,600 autonomous robots operate between shelves and workstations, supporting hundreds of thousands of storage locations and turnover boxes.
This solution also makes maximum use of the vertical space in the warehouse, with a storage height of approximately 12 meters.
At two locations, these solutions have helped LPP Logistics to maximize warehouse height and flexibility while maintaining throughput performance, in order to accommodate a wide range of retail SKU and pallet-based processes. They support both daily retail fulfillment and allow for more flexible responses to seasonal changes.
Performance platform that can be extended together with LPP Logistics
Scalability is at the core of this project. The design of the Geekplus system enables LPP Logistics to expand its robot capacity, workstations, and overall throughput over time, in response to seasonal peaks, changes in storage requirements, and SKU growth.
The Geekplus robot management system is capable of centrally coordinating large-scale robot fleets, supporting over 1,000 robots at a single site. This is crucial for maintaining operational continuity during warehouse expansion; in the retail environment, flexibility and reliability directly affect customer service and business performance, which is particularly important.
