Hussein Zangana ( Vet ) recently shared the highlights of the Korea Blockchain Week held in Seoul from September 29 to October 1, 2026, in a post on X. Korea Blockchain Week is the largest blockchain event in Asia, which opened on Tuesday and brought together industry and technology professionals.
The post with Vet highlighted that a discussion during the event was jointly participated in by President Ripple Monica Long and Caroline D, the acting chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) of the United States. The topic was about the next steps in the development of tokenization.
When asked whether the majority of tokenized transaction volumes would occur on private or public blockchains, the president of Ripple replied "public," and also mentioned that the advantages of private blockchains are being reflected through confidential transfers (XLS-96) and permission delegation (XLS-75) on XRP Ledger.
This narrative is beneficial for decentralized public blockchain XRP Ledger, as the volume of tokenized transactions is flowing towards public blockchains. Confidential transfers (XLS-96) can provide institutional-level privacy for multi-purpose tokens (MPT), while permission delegation allows accounts to delegate some of their permissions to other accounts.
It is reported that Ripple President Monica Long will deliver a keynote speech at the XRP Seoul event to be held on October 3, 2026, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Seoul. Also present will be Ripple executives, including Senior Vice President Markus Infanger, RippleX Engineering Director J.A, Akinyele, Ripple Senior Director of Ecological Growth Christina Chan, Ripple Senior Manager of Ecological Growth Tatsuya Kohrogi, and others.
XRP What will happen next?
In the coming weeks, XRP Ledger will launch a number of features that will help with practical applications. Permission delegation and Batch are expected to provide institutional-level account management for XRPL, as well as the capability to execute atomic transactions without the need for trust.
Batch and its repair and upgrade are expected to activate the mainnet on October 9th, while the permission delegation is expected to go live on October 8, 2026, provided that they maintain a support rate of over 80% during the two-week activation period.
Recently, CSD BR, a financial market infrastructure with over 22 trillion Brazilian reais in registered assets, announced the first phase of its strategic partnership with Ripple. This move marks a new step forward in the development of asset tokenization in Brazil.
Ripple, the person in charge of global partnerships, Luke Judges stated that this integration is a major boon for XRP Ledger, and the first issuance under this plan is expected to bring a "representative" market value of $15 billion to XRPL.
