Flow Engineering is a startup company that provides AI tools for hardware design. The company announced on Wednesday that it has completed a $50 million Series B financing round, bringing its post-financing valuation to $750 million.
This round of financing was co-led by Antonio Gracias of Valar Equity Partners and Gavin Baker of Atreides Management. Gracias is known for its investments in companies owned by Elon Musk, especially SpaceX; Atreides Management is a hedge fund that has also invested in Musk's companies as well as AI, a chip manufacturer, and Cerebras. Sequoia Capital, which led the financing round of Flow A last October, also participated in this round of investment. In addition, former Sequoia partner Roelof Botha participated as a private investor and has now joined the board of directors of Flow.
This three-year-old company, headquartered in San Francisco, stated that it addresses the complex issues in hardware design by providing AI agents, which can automatically align CAD drawings with product requirements, simulation results, and other testing contents.
According to Flow, Anduril, Rivian, Joby Aviation, General Motors PPU (a joint venture between General Motors and TWG Motorsports), RV Tech (a joint venture between Rivian and Volkswagen), Stoke Space etc. are all its customers.
