Buffalo, New York, October 1st / PRNewswire / —— M& T Bank ( NYSE : MTB ) and its subsidiary Wilmington Trust announced today that three of the company’s leaders will receive awards during this year’s American Banker “ Most Powerful Women in Banking ” project and celebration event. The event will take place later this month in New York City.

This year's winners include:

  • Meghan Shue -- Executive Vice President of Financial Management and Institutional Services, and Chief Investment Strategist at Wilmington Trust, was selected for the magazine's " Most Powerful Women in Banking : Women to Watch " list. Meghan has also been recognized by this magazine before.
  • Carly Nathanson – Senior Vice President and Senior Investment Advisor of Wilmington Trust, selected for the “Most Powerful Women in Banking NEXT” category. This category is designed to honor women who have excelled and shown talent at an earlier stage of their careers.
  • Mary - Ammielle Stone — Senior Vice President of M&T, Manager of Small Business Loans, and also selected for the “NEXT” project.

For Carly Nathanson and Mary to Ammielle Stone, this is their first time being selected for the honor roll of American Banker.

The “Most Powerful Women in Banking” award program has entered its 24th year this year, aiming to recognize women whose leadership, performance, and influence are of vital importance to the banking and financial services industry.

The “Most Powerful Women in Banking NEXT” award recognizes outstanding women who are 40 years of age or younger and have successfully executed major projects, driven meaningful change, or are ready to play a key role in their employers’ organizations and industries.
